A New Kind of Big

As pastor of Perimeter Church in suburban Atlanta, Chip Sweney discovered the power of partnering with churches to transform communities. This book chronicles his journey to starting Unite!, a tool that connects local churches so that they might pool their resources, energy, and time to minister to their communities.

Book Summary

Sweney’s outreach began when he set out to research the twelve-mile radius around his church to discover the needs and find groups already meeting those needs. His vision involved locating partners in the community and placing their church members with these partners.

As a result of his research, Sweney realized the needs of the community were far bigger than what his church could handle. Thus began the transformation within Perimeter Church from dreaming to doing. What grew out of this effort was a partnership between 150 churches under the organization called Unite!.
